Polyeast Records releases Faith Cuneta’s new album titled "Twist of Faith" featuring first singles "Dito Sa Puso Ko" and "Paano Kaya". As the title TWIST OF FAITH implies, the new 12-song collection from Faith Cuneta finds the songbird breaking free from her signature songs in high notes and venturing a little further from her adult contemporary nest. With the help of Polyeast Records, her fourth album, a sleek collection of contemporary OPM revivals titled TWIST OF FAITH is now out in the market. Lead singles, Dito Sa Puso Ko (originally by Ogie Alcasid) and Paano Kaya (originally by Jessa Zaragosa) kick things off along with other revivals of Regine Velasquez and Lea Salongga hits. But while these OPM classic revivals speckle the album with variety, it's Cuneta's confident and flexible singing that gives this new album its gleam. Cuneta has returned to the recording studio and this is her first all OPM revivals studio album in over three years. While Cuneta was known by her power-ballads inspired by her favourites Regine Velasquez and Kuh Ledesma—keeping the high notes and the diva-esque stature-- this time she has jumped ship and sprinkled more subtlety into her songs. “That is the meaning of the album title… I’m about to take a twist of my faith. My latest album attempts to capture new set of listeners and do more of the easy-listening type of songs— something comfortable… relaxed,” Cuneta adds. The first single off the album Dito Sa Puso ko written and popularized by Ogie Alcasic in the 90s where Cuneta’s vocals sound incredibly lush over this OPM favorite. Paano Kaya, on the other hand, also serves as the album’s carrier single is a cover of Jessa Zaragosa hit in the 90s. Over the course of the album’s 12 OPM favorites, Cuneta applies soaring vocals to an entirely new context, and the combination works well. TWIST OF FAITH has its share pretty ballads love songs like Iyong-Iyo (Big Thing), her own version of Gulong ng Palad (Eva Eugenio and Eugene Villaluz), remake of Paniwalaan Mo (Boyfriends); Sa Isip Ko (Agot); Damdamin ko Sa’yo (Regine Velasquez); Cuneta’s personal favorite Kung Maibabalik Ko Lang (Regine Velasquez); Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal (Dingdong Avanzado); Hindi na, Ayoko na (Regine Velasquez); Please Don’t Go Away (Ogie Alcasid) and Mula Noon Hanggang Ngayon (Lea Salonga). Polyeast Records, homelabel to OPM’s biggest pop hitmakers and over-the-top balladeers like Zsa-zsa Padilla and Martin Nievera, Cuneta signed with them in August 2010. Chito Ilagan, Polyeast’s A&R Manager shares “Faith has one of the loveliest and most soulful voices in the record industry.
