The singer, who won the Brits Critics' Choice Award this year, has also enjoyed healthy worldwide sales of her debut album Who You Are. She hopes her younger fans will feel inspired by her success and will also decide to pursue a career in music.
''m embracing the whole idea of being a role model,' Jessie told TOTP magazine. 'For years I've been that little girl watching the Brits saying, 'I want to win!' And now I'm the girl getting it. Little kids will look at me now and say they want to be like me.'
The 23-year-old from Essex was a hair model before she became famous. Jessie is known for her outrageous outfits and dramatic make-up, but she said that her fans can relate to because she is a normal person.
''m not a robot and I do have bad days,' she said.
