Katy Perry has some new marching orders.
For her "Part of Me" video, the pop star gets over a bad relationship by hacking off her hair and running away to join the military. According to MTV, the video was filmed with a cast of real-life marines, who join her for boot camp footage and the occasional dance move.
"Thank u to everyone for the love & support on the video, I have SO MUCH respect for anyone serving any role in the service after this shoot!" she tweeted on Tuesday.
The song, from the expanded edition of Perry's "Teenage Dream," launched at the Hot 100's top spot in February after she debuted the new track at the Grammys.
